20 days

Today I got the script for my 2nd month of champix, I have survived 20 days without a smoke and I cant believe I have come this far. Spoke to doc today about eating and picking at food more only to be told the average weight gain is 3 to 4 kilos when ceasing smoking and I am mortified! so walking and power walking and activity here I come. Its strange how I am more shocked about some weight gain than I was turned off smokes from the pics on the packs or the health warnings of cancer and heart attack warnings off friends and family. I think for me its about how I can see and feel the weight gain but smoking was a silent killer I never felt the effects (yes I would get out of breath easily so I managed to not do much that made that happen), but I felt like I was blind to the impact it was having on my body.

Good work. I decided that instead of trying to save the money I'd usually spend on smoking, I'd use it on some activity that I've always wanted to try. So here I am, waiting a week to start my first pole dancing course. It's a full body workout, strengthens and tones everything, is awesome for cardio, and something I've always wanted to do but never did due to the expense.
