Hi Leeann, you don’t need them, 40 days down and you are over the biggest hurdle. It is just a mental thing now as you know.
Pop a lollie or chew on something, or go do something until the moment passes. You can do this and you will, treat those discomforts as a sign that you are winning.
You don’t want to smoke and you won’t. You are stronger than any urge.....stay strong and focused. Go girl x

    Hi Leeann,

I don't care what you do, as long as you don't smoke!

Congratulations on your 40 days - I'm right behind you on Day 31 and still getting some overwhelming impulses. Robyn is right - they pass in less than ten minutes but don't deny yourself lozenges if you feel you need them.

You're doing great, my friend - just keep going! x

    Hi Leeann.
We Dont Smoke + NO MATTER WHAT!
These are the last 40 day's Quit you will ever go through. Because tomorrow is 41.
Tell that nico idiot to nick off!
He will leave you alone in the coming day's.
Be firm and determined that your smoking days are well & truly over buddy.

You are so close to beating the nicotine addiction Leeanne, having one Lozenze or nicotine of any kind will have you resetting the clock. Today will be about as bad as it gets if not already getting better.
The psychological part should ease somewhat too i would think, as part is fearing the battle with the nicomonster. Be proud of yourself! The worst is over and you have done so well. We are stronger than nicotine and our foundless fears of being a non-smoker. We know that smoking did nothing for us , and cravings are really just our thoughts.

He is STARVING now and at your mercy.
You will push through and emerge victorious.. Keep thinking positive.......

    Hello Leeann,
Congratulations on making it to 40 days. Percy is on Day 31 and I'm right behind you two on Day 28.

I read this this morning and I'm awfully sorry you have this going on. I can make suggestions but you need to do what is right for you. In the end, I KNOW you will get there. You have surpassed many obstacles and you will surpass this one too. You are not alone, we are all behind you sending positive thoughts.

    1) Mindset: Remember it is all in your on changing the way you think. The nicotine in the lozenges itself is about 72 hours. Maybe wait it out, as hard as it might be. So little time, for so much freedom ahead. You have already dealt with the psychological part of quitting smoking.

    2) Substitution when the urge hits: This new habit of lozenges could be substituted. Obviously, seeing you are already doing lollies, find something else. Breathe deep, run in place, do deep knee bends.

    3) Taper off (last resort): Force yourself to taper off them. Park one in your mouth for a bit and take it out and wrap it in tin foil. You don't need the entire chunk.

It can can be done but is up to you to take control back. Remember, (I learned this from this forum),.. it is only a thought and the thought will fade away.

Happiness is right. You have gone this far and you are so close. Having a lozenge will reset the clock, and if it were me, I would follow her guidance. Ultimately, you have to do what is right for you. You Leeann are STRONG, you can do this. You ARE a non-smoker. Be proud you have not had a cigarette in 40 entire days!! Way to go and you can go further. Hang strong. Hugs...

Wow Quitfam, you all rock!!! No to lozenges, they are an aid and they helped me get to where I am today, but I know it will surpass and buying more and using them is just feeding myself nicotine. I know I dont need it, Im confident tomorrow will be easier well I hope so, but it wont change the outcome, I dont entertain caving, and to me buying lozenges is a setback. Ive got this and I will stay strong, after all its a small price to pay for freedom🙌
