Just remember sometimes you put off smokes one hour each time

Pick a date if you can't cold turkey,see your GP I have a Quit Tracker app and it reassures me and a goal to work on I'm use a patch a day now after starting with 3a day after 50 years of smoking I'm now 51 days clean still having respiratory problems but I have other unrelated problems I hope this helps other quit smokers good luck.

    Not only does putting it off train you to deal with the cravings but to also take back control. I cut down drastically and that was the most difficult time of waiting for my quit date. Instead, I quit early and got it over with. Cold Turkey scares a lot, but I would rather dive in and get it over with. There are two parts to quitting smoking. Getting nicotine out of your system . Nicotine addiction keeps you going back to feed it so that you don't get those cravings. We learned to smoked before they started. Secondly , we had become defined by smoking. The psychological need to have it while we drove, after meals, in social settings and any excuse we had to have one. When we realize that they were excuses and that we can live just fine without them, we won't feel deprived, but actually resent the time, health and wealth that they stole from us for years. This change of attitude towards smoking helps to quit more easily. We will not crave what we truly do not want!

    However one chooses to quit is awesome. Congratulations on your first 51 days.
