Where to start

I’ve tried so many things to stop smoking, and I’m still smoking 30 a day. Im lost with everything about quitting at the moment and not sure we’re to start. Has anyone got any tips?

    Hi Jez#A my suggestions would be read some of the stories posted on this site and if you find yourself relating or connecting with some in particular than read all of those stories they have posted. There is a wealth of experience and tips in many of the stories posted here and you can also call the quit line and have a chat with someone there. Read back on the stories and you will find lots of tips and ways to get into action on this quitting smoking business. Best of luck to you ❤️

    At the risk of being blunt, you talk like this is something being done to you.
    It is your hand, and your mind. You must really want to quit, more than you want to smoke. You can get Allen Carr's book,, The easy way to stop smoking, on line for free. Many have found it helpful.. If you really let yourself think, admit to yourself, you are an addict. You are addicted to SMOKING, not just nicotine. See the reality / stupidity of smoking. We let a little tube of tobacco, run our life, waste our time, take our health, and our money !! SMOKING MAKES YOU STUPID ! That's how it works. Once I let myself see all this, the quit was easy, cold turkey, after 45+ years. You CAN do this, if you really WANT to :)

    Hi Jez, it's great that you want.. that's no. 1.. the second could be reason, why.. find something selfish like have much energy to do exercise, or have better stamina in certain activities, get much time to read a book, do some gardening, dyi, study, work much effectiveness at your job to get promotion, even secondary things like better health, not want to end up ill and going to die with pain just because you though you were weak to quit.. Quit is possible, for everybody.. so want, find strong why, and by reading stories find how.. :) that's all, and do not forget to celebrate your achievements with us.. :)

    Too many tips to write, so get reading. Knowledge is power and a positive attitude can make this change easier than you ever thought. Undo the brainwashing....
