I just want to know if anyone else is having these withdrawal or has had, I stopped smoking cigarettes around the beginning of November, by the 9th I was really constipated and couldn’t even pass gass without straining and pooing was the same, I was then put on laxido and after the course I was able to pass wind but til this day I have trouble and pain in my lower left abdomen, I’ve had bloods and ct scan done snd all looks normal, other symptoms I have had near the beginning was body aches and flu like symptoms, headaches, light headed and dizziness, mouth unclerd, bleeding gums, but my main problem has been the abdominal/ bowel issue

I’ve also head like weak feeling in my arms and legs snd sometimes behind my left knee cap so that’s probably circulation healing, also at the start I’d bring up browny coloured phlegm sometimes with tiny bits of blood In

I would definitely keep closed tabs on the situation where blood is showing.

Diet, would be the main cause. We tend to change things once quitting smoking. Drink prune juice to loosen the bowels. Too much fiber intake when you are not used to it will bind you. Beans can cause gas problems ...etc. Write down what you eat and also eat bran and natural laxative. Straining also creates hemoroids which will bleed.

Many people go through coughing up phlegm a few weeks in. It is the body ridding itself of the tar and crap accumulated in the smoker's lungs. Monitor the blood ......let your doctor know. It is good to know that it is dried. The celia recover and get to work sweeping the lungs clear now that they are un- impeded by smoking.

Congratulations on coming so far, read stories, learn and believe that you too can quit smoking. The mind creates blocks to do nicotine's bidding, but we can change the thought process (The brain is no longer getting it's jolt of dopamine) , Just as the body has it's own routine and it needs time to adjust to the changes.

Knowledge is power. Research. The bonus is that learning is one of the things that raises dopamine!
Above all , think positive! You can quit smoking!

Is the lower left pain snd constipation normal?
  • Happiness January 17, 2021 | 8:19
Like I said....everyone is different. The mind makes it's own adenda if you let it. If you have changed eating habits then constipation could be an outcome. Try natural solutions and see a doctor if it persists.

Enjoy the process of quitting smoking instead of doing so begrudgingly. Attitude is paramount!

I’m just trying to find someone who has had the same experience as me, it’s like constantly in my lower left it gets better but never goes completely
