Intermittent stabbing pain & tightness in chest, slight shortness of breath & rise in heartbeat

I quit smoking 6 months ago.I am still having intermittent stabbing pain and tightness in chest, slight shortness of breath and slight rise in heartbeat. These symptoms come for few days and go for weeks and back again.I have undergone electrocardiograph, echocardiogram,x-ray, urine and blood test. Doctor did not find anything alarming. I have a medical history of GERD and hypertension which is almost under control now- I take pantoprazole and amlodipine 5 mg.I sometimes have phlegm which is way less than it was after 3 months of quitting-same is the case with other symptoms alos. I do not have cough and blood sugar level is at good range.
I have done so much research but cannot asses the issue. I do not think this is panic attack either. Does anyone have similar issues? Please share how you handled.

Hi TonyM. I am at a loss and hope someone out there may have some information that might help you. 6 months quit is a great milestone though and well worth the efforts, although i do hope you find the cause of your discomforts.Congratulations!

First let me congratulate you on 6months smoke-free, second I am glad you took our advice and contacted Health professionals. I never had pain, but had some tightening of my chest, I had to be under a Doctor because I was on Champix and a script was necessary, the side effects can be extreme for some people. I started looking at my diet, about this time as I was experiencing wind which could suggest something similar in your case. You have nothing to lose by checking this out, and you can keep your doctor informed if you are doing this on your own.

Hi Tony, I hope you are well! Congratulations on being 6 months smoke free! I'm only 12 days in and some of the withdrawal symptoms are crazy. I feel like I have the flu, every muscle I move hurts. I have swollen lymph nodes, pains in my neck and down my spine. I'm waiting for the doctor to get back to me, it's not as simple as just "going to see the doctor" over here in the UK because of COVID. Everything is done over the phone and it's making my anxiety go crazy! Just make sure you're keeping in touch with your doctor about any symptoms you may be having and try not to let it get you down. You're doing amazing!
