Hi Gemma do not doubt yourself you have done it, and you have kept that Mantra foremost in your mind NOPE (not one puff ever) Congratulations, give yourself some reward if you can get out and about.

You sound surprised Gemma. I was not surprised that you did it at all. I see many people come to this site and go on the realize their goal of freeing themselves from a disqusting addiction. Once we stop feeling powerless, we gather the courage to act and succeed.
Well done Gemma. I am so happy for you!

I first came to this site for some miracle cure! But it took me some time to realize the cure is within our ears :(..):
    Face up to addiction.
Its our responsibility to challenge it.
Break the imprisonment to be free!
Its possible, if I can break free, any one who wants to can be free too!
I;m now so over it and dont smoke

Puffnomore how long are you smoke free?
Yes I am starting to feel normal again and not having that void anymore which was horrible as I had the feeling for few weeks but I am starting to feel normal again as in not craving or missing them.
I can almost say I get through the day without thinking about them horrible things.
I didn't realise how bad the smell
    It's an awful smell.

Oh Gemma, There's so much to say or explain. It takes self belief and a want to change. It took me a while, with these experienced community ex-smokers and addicts to tell the REAL truths about Quitting the endless chain of cigarettes and the endless Excuses I had to continue the devilish curse on my body, I sought and found a way out of it..
Its a mind game. And I have learnt my lessons.
Like Safe and so many of us say is true.
Not One Puff Ever and we will be ok.

Im 199 days since my last cancer stick. $5,273.00 ahead of the endless spend everyday of nearly $30 at the tobacconist , the $35 at the corner shop or sometimes over $40 at a road-side petrol stop.
I have pride that those purchases are not needed now.
we might need some solid restraint at 100 days but now at 200 days its became my new normal.
    regards
    i PuffNoMore.

Puffnomore you should be proud it is a good feeling.
I am getting close to the 100th day.
I am about to start treatment for a thyroid cancer and that alone is giving me the strength not smoke ever again
It's so not worth it.it just give me the push I needed.
My health is important to me now and I am trying to do the right thing for me. Be healthier and happy and breath so much better now.
This forum has also been great to me lots of support from people here that I have never met but are on the same boat to try and have a better life without smoking.

If I can add to your strength to fight off that c word I am sending it down the wire! I have had a couple painful biopsy's on my tongue this year and clear of cancer, only ulcers, lol. I think my ginger crystals may be the culprit?
I used ginger to suck on instead of sucking on cigarettes! I still use one or two pieces most days.
My health is too important to me now to ever re-start smoking again!
In my early weeks to breaking my addictions back I used a few mantra's.
    $$$$$$$$$$ I DONT SMOKE---NO MATTER WHAT>$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Yippee two hundred days done and dusted, thanks team Yippee
