Take one day at a time. I am on two weeks now and I have been trying to exercise daily (walk) for at least 30mins, reading and playing more with my kids. I have also temporarily ceased socializing to avoid excess coffee drinking, alcohol and smokers. Good Luck!

Congratulations on the great decision to be a non smoker. Everyone's quit is different, but everyone is apprehensive. No worry, If you really want to quit , you can. We have lots of stories, and methods here for you to learn some. The internet is a great resource as well. You are not alone in this. We can relate and try to help as best as we can. Reading and learning, keeping busy, substituting a good habit and keeping a positive attitude will keep you in good stead. I did not give up my friends or smoking area breaks. That is for you to decide. You know you best. Cutting down on coffee helps alleviate the jitters which some claim to be anxiety. Nicotine used to defray the effect of caffeine. Above all think positive. You can quit smoking. We are proof!
