Day 44

I have now reached 44 smoke free days, although this feels like a lifetime, the road hasn’t been easy physically or mentally, or even emotionally at times! I know mentally I am past the cravings! Although physically I still have my ups and downs as we all day! The anxiety is starting to get better, however I still have the bad days from time to time, my constipation has subsided, however I am still bloated slightly, I have rib and back ache to accompany the bloatedness, shortness of breath seems to be getting better also! Taking this a day at a time and now starting to feel more positive! Hopefully this is a continuing trend!

Congrats on 44 days!!!! That’s such an accomplishment, and I know how hard it is to get there! I’ve also had all of the same symptoms physically/mentally/emotionally. I’ve also had constipation issues for the first time in my life, but now 60 days smoke free the constipation is getting a little better as well as all of the other symptoms. There is nothing worse than the first week though, that was the toughest mentally. The sudden urges to smoke are gone for me now but I still struggle with the anxiety at times. I’m wondering if the anxiety will subside over time..

So pleased to hear from you again with such a great accomplishment, 44 days is a long time when you are feeling the emotional pain still, Have you looked at the video "How to GROW to be a happy smoker" by NASIA DAVOS?. It requires a few visits to pinpoint your emotional aspect to help you retrain your mind. We are all capable of doing this, no matter what life flings at you, it will stand you in good stead for the future too. In the meantime the urges will go, they are just thoughts and you can let them float away mentally. One day at a time for now Gamerdude Good work

Keep up the great progress. Things do get better over time. In a while you will grow into your new life as a non-smoker and be ever so grateful and happy that you did. Hang on to that hope. It is within your grasp.
