300 Days

Posted in Staying quit 01 Apr 2020

300 days today!

Feeling very proud of myself right now. I was going to say I was lucky I quit when I did, but it wasnt luck. It took a lot of willpower and strength. Its better to say I was fortunate with the timing due to Covid 19 and all. Not just dropping out of a high risk category, but money wise with what is happening with economies at the moment.

Things are going well. I may occasionally think about cigarettes(maybe once a week) but not often in the context of having one. Just if I see someone having or buying one I'll think "wow! I used to do that".

As always for those just starting I say keep going. You can do this! You're so much stronger than you know! You WILL win and as someone who has come out the other end trust me when I say its ssoooooo worth it!

If I can, you can.

    Congrates PV

I'm sure you would welcome anyone to read your whole 12 stories over your 300 day journey!

I read your stories and the comments roughly 2 months ago and now I find myself almost 2 months smoke-free

Thank you PV. I may have gained something from your Stories!

    You're more than welcome PuffNoMore!
I hoped my stories would help those who followed, the same way I was helped by the stories of those who came before me.

Congratulations PV Its great to be 300 days smoke free, I also think about it on occasion, not with longing anymore, but just so happy to not be caught up in the habitual pattern. Well done

I , like you, feel ever so lucky to have quit before this stressful time. Our bodies are better prepared to fight this virus should we encounter it. No better time to quit then now. Do they even make cigarettes now? Are they essential? We quit and anyone can. Read and learn . Think positive. Stay safe.

Hi PV. It is so good to see stories from those who are succeeding and are enjoying a new number. The bigger it gets, the less likely they are to take a backwards step. Think we all know that one puff can bring it all undone and that means back to square one. Unfortunately the new quit may take years to restart... Enjoy each century of days free of nicotine knowing why you enjoy your new freedom. Enjoy watching the money saved grow in your unders and overs tray. All the best to you.
