Hi Vinnie, welcome and congrats on making the best decision of your life. You will never regret it.
The best tips I can give you is to make a cigarette something you never want again...not something you can’t have.
Sounds simple but it will mean that you don’t crave...as you don’t crave what you don’t want.
Keep busy....get a hobby, do puzzles or crosswords, something that you can go to easily to redirect your thoughts.
Exercise...go for a walk everyday...do some form of exercise daily. Drink water regularly. Get a good sleep each night.
But the most important thing is to retrain your mindset...make quitting smoking your priority...this is something you have chosen to do so embrace it, be happy about it and you will find it helps greatly. Do not think you are giving anything good up, because you are not. There is nothing good about smoking. Go for it .....there is a big difference between stopping and giving up. Stay close to this forum, post as often as you can. You can do this.

Excellent Advice. It does not matter if you use an NRT or other aid or none. You have the control in your mind. You decide whether it is easy or hard. Read and Learn. The right mindset is your forever friend, as we are here. Stay close.
