Today, 1275 smoke free days for me, so I am fast approaching the milestone 3.5 years smoke free

I have been reading everyone's stories and the comments associated seeing both old and new names

I am so impressed how this forum works, the support that is available and given here is an invaluable tool for everyone

I honestly don't think i would have succeeded without this site

So where ever you are on your journey good luck and don't give up.

i was nearly 60 when i started here and had been smoking since i was 12 that's 47 years as a smoker and my only other real attempt to stop had lasted maybe 6 days and that would have been probably when I was in my mid 20's.

I still have thoughts of having a cigarette or go looking for them but most of the time the feelings don't hang around for long

So hang in there everyone you only need to get though today as tomorrow never comes

i wish you all well

So happy to hear from you Storm 1275 days, wow! a wonderful achievement and everyone here will be so glad to hear that the forum has helped you, it certainly is helping me. I hear you about the thoughts and feelings, still being with you at times, and its so good that they go away quickly.

That's a long span of years for smoking, so it makes it even more memorable.

Congratulations and come and see us again sometime.

Thanks for stopping in to celebrate your victory and share the hope with others who desire the freedom from nicotine. It truly is a possible endeavour and I totally agree that these forums are a great help. It certainly helped me and gave me the encouragement I needed to quit. I am glad that we can each just by posting keep this avenue of help alive. Each quit may be different in ways but we all want the same outcome and understand each other and are willing to lend a helping hand.

A great accomplishment Storm. Stay smoke free today and have a better tomorrow!

Hi Storm congratulations on your 1,275 days without nicotine, I can only imagine how proud you are of your accomplishment. It’s always good when one of the icanquit members, who have achieved great success in their journey to remain nicotine free, drops by and give us hope and remind us that although the journey is difficult it is not impossible. So thank you Storm, Dobbin, Lia, Safe2017, Dougle52, and many more who is not listed here.
