1 month quit

Hi all you fellow quitters!! I really can't believe that it will be 1 month tomorrow that I've been smoke free. I keep humming 76 trombones led the big parade! I was a rusted on smoker of 40+ a day for 45 years and now am a non smoker. I am quite clear in my mind that I'll never smoke again thanks to Allen Carr's "Only Way" although I am using patches for a back up.

A month off the smokes and my breathing is so much better, my sinuses are clear and I'm not nearly as stressed as I was when smoking.

This forum has helped a lot reading all your experiences and quit tips. In the first few days I was on here all the time and still visit about twice a day to catch up. NOPE is a great mantra from you all.

I never believed that I'd give the smokes away and it took me three times to finish Only Way as I got part way through and it was making so much sense that I'd put it away again for a couple of years. This time it was different and I was determined to finish it. What I'm trying to say is that you have to be ready in your mind and that everyone does it in their own way. We are all in the no smoking parade whether out in front, in the middle or a newbie like me.

Good health, wealth and happy days to everyone and keep your stories coming.

Well done on one month. You should be so proud of yourself. Buy yourself something special as a reward. You deserve it 👍

Hi Fresh, you are so deserving of a special reward for yourself. Well done to you. Nope is a great mantra and it helps keep you on track.
You are so right about everyone has their own way of quitting...doesn’t matter how...whatever works for you I say. Well done, stay strong and focused.

Isn't it amazing how we feared this journey. Not just feared the severity of the cravings or the fear that we might fail in this mission, but the fear that we might actually succeed and then what would life be like? WONDERFUL IS WHAT! No more time outs to feed the animal within, no more mess and smell. The weight is lifted because our bodies are healing and we aren't racked by guilt and fear. We have extra money in our pocket to indulge in lifes little pleasures.

Here's hoping many more will jump on the bandwagon to freedom. Many more will join your 76 Trumbone Big Parade and be loud and proud! Thanks Allan Carr for the thinking to set us free.
