Apparently, somewhere in the back of your mind, there is still some good thought about them.. You are well past any addiction, but still thinking like a smoker. Let that go.. The cravings will end, as soon as you let them..

wow, that is a long time to be without smoking and suddenly have a craving. But I have read in various medical articles, after the 2 year mark your chances of relapse drop considerably. You should be so proud of your accomplishment, I do hope your found distraction can work for other's. Can you describe it a little better for me please ?

Hi Ernie. I just now found your post, and not sure how i missed it, so i want to congratulate you on a great quit. I enjoyed reading your entire story and i laughed out loud about you giving your smoking friends the holier than thou attitude, so should you fail you would be hounded! lol.

We all need reasons to quit and our own map to do so. I am glad you found yours.

I never did cough a lot, except had that every morning clearing of lungs cough, but not excessive nor did i feel i coughed much through the day when i smoked. I am 122 days quit and still haven't coughed up black to clear my lungs. I was borderline COpd 3 years before i finally quit smoking and still have not been to a doctor. I know you were concerned about this issue too. May I ask that all these months later whether you do have copd?

I took a simple lung cleanse before i quit, and i believe it induced me to quit because i got up one morning and didn't feel like smoking. I really don't recall if I was coughing more at this time. I really would appreciate an answer to this issue.

Again Congratulations . I look forward to hearing from you.

P.S Why not read the Allan Carr Book i posted to reinforce your quit as i have. Knowledge is power!
