    I quit, almost 2 years ago, after being a slave to them for 45+ years :) You can do it too.. We highly recommend Allen Carr's book, The easy way to stop smoking.. Make up your mind, you do NOT WANT to smoke. That is much better than just thinking you want to quit. A positive mindset makes all the difference.. Let yourself see, that you are just a slave to a tube of tobacco !! They never did anything good for you. It's all the illusion of being addicted.. And not addicted to nicotine, addicted to smoking. The habit is the strongest part, fueled by the nicotine.. Let yourself see the truth. All the time, money, and health, we waste, just to satisfy a stupid habit.. They can become something you just no longer want, and you don't crave, what you don't want :) It really can be, as easy as you make it..

    Welcome sneaky, Red is right you have made the first step by joining up. I also agree it really is a mind over matter thing as for most people it is undoing or retraining yourself of a habit that you think you like. We all thought we liked it, but in fact we were just mice stuck on a wheel feeding an addiction. You can read lots of people's stories on here, which will show you it really is achievable and there are different styles of getting to that end goal. Different styles work for different people and you just need to choose what will work for you. You can do this😊 I personally have been quit for almost 8 months and I quit using gum and then lozenges for approx 12 weeks
