Just checking in 31 days in and feeling bloody fantastic- I have wanted to quit for such a long time and I know I was ready to do it. No slips ups , actually happier and prouder then I thought I could ever be- I haven’t lost it this time round and I’m excited for every occasion to be a non smoker! I’m quite a healthy person gym 4-5 times a week eat healthy but woh how good I feel woh!!I just wanted to say well done to everyone and I’m feeling so good! My only tip would be don’t just focus on it I deliberately stopped counting days and just praised myself at the end of each day I think the game changer is the real deep rooted want to stop smoking- my husband is a smoker and not once has that effected me - that’s just more proof of how desperately I wanted to no longer be a smoker , if you feel like a cigarette remind yourself what will it change what does it actually offer you what will it change? I feel like the most powerful version of myself and it feels amazing

Hi Hlouise. I love your opening and closing statements.Feeling bloody fantastic is a sentiment anyone here can feel after a minute, 5 minutes, an hour, a day ... A year. Think you know where Iam going with this. And to feel the most powerful version of yourself are words I can only hope others on this site actually experience. You have summed it up in a nutshell. After being smoke free for over 3 1/2 years I can relate to your post. Others can too. And trust me, there are some who have lasted a long distance and are relishing the knowledge that they are in a position to be the best version of themselves. I never cease to be blown away many comments and sentiments posted here. Wish you well on your journey.

Bloody Fantastic job Hlouise! To you, me and many others who have succeeded in this journey beyond our wildest dreams. Control and Empowerment have been returned to us when we slayed the nicodemon.

If everyone had your enthusiasm and positive outlook when they decided to take his journey, it would be infectious i am sure, and so many more would envision themselves as soon -to-be winners as well. In the wake of such optimism, all of the demons would be left to quiver in despair. I too had an easy quit using positivity, knowledge and all the tools at hand.

Stop thinking nicotine can hold you. It can't! There is too much proof to use it as an excuse anymore .

Life is good now. Today, tomorrow and always.

Love your story. Great job. Agree on the husband smoking doesn’t matter (mine is vaping) and on the best version of yourself emerging. So true. The freedom is exhilarating!
