    Hi, I have noticed a lot of people on this site worrying over whether or not to use NRT. My thoughts are that it doesn’t matter how you choose to quit. I used patches 7mg for one week, the I cut them in half and used half a patch for another week, the I thought 3.5mg is nothing...so I stopped using them altogether.
    There are no prizes for how you get there, but there is a prize for when you get there! Don’t make your journey any harder than it needs to be...take back control of your life and your wallet. Don’t worry about putting on a few kilos.....that can be addressed later....just focus on quitting and do whatever gets you through to the side of freedom....it is worth the struggle and the extra kilos etc. I have put on 4 kilos and I could not care less, my only focus is staying quit. I have heard people say they went back to smoking to lose the weight....with all the money saved you could buy a gym membership, helps you socialise, helps you lose weight and lifts your self esteem...win,win,win. Come on......get real.

    Yes well said Robn. The first goal is to quit smoking, deal with any weight gain later if necessary.

    A well balanced diet of just eating good food choices will sate you if not shed pounds. I am going to post about foods to help cravings by getting your body to release happiness. Best to all on your quits!
