900 days without a cigarette Still can’t believe that I am no longer “owned” by the demon. Lia goes one better with a 1000 days clean. Well done Lia and keep that 100 days gap between us. Thanks icanquit for all the help here. Great forum.

Hi Dobbin, you must feel absolutely amazing & proud. 900 days!!! I simply cannot wait to get to where you are. I really can't. I'm so sick of this crap, I want to be done with it. I've only got 898 days to get to where you are! I agree this site is great, I really don't think I could do it on my own. Well done to you my friend, well done.

Hi Sharn. Sounds like you have really reached the end of the crappy cigarette habit. Whatever you are going through while quitting be absolutely sure that the pain will go and so will the incessant cravings. Stay close here and post often. Genuine good luck.

Thanks Dobbin for the accolades. Same to you 1000 times over for going the distance with me and others. Did we ever think we would be here? Of course, just didn't realise it was something we could accomplish with little effort, apart from the times we had to suck it up and keep going. And we did. Stress, problems and angst still rear their ugly heads in our lives but guess what? We are no different to non smokers in the need to stand up to dramas in our lives. May the force be with us.

My mum i think is most ashamed of my smoking mostly becuase she lost a brother due to it, a massive heart attack. She has helped me alot to keep away from them. I think after anyone has quit they should have a major health check up to see if there are any long term smoking problems that need addressing. I'm still smoke free after nearly 2 days it's hard to say no but when you've lost a family member that should be a good indication to stay away from smokes it's just hard when you see others smoke. One thing i've found is someone else's smoking seems to affect me more than my own, the smell that is. 900 days is incredible i got to at a point up to 6 months without smoking but heavily addicted to gum. For me it only takes one slip up to start the demon in your head 1 cigarette is all it takes to fall off the wagon.
