Omg it’s been aweful... headaches etc nausea stomach pain it’s been worse than quitting crystal meth after 8 yrs of using but I’m doing it. I gave champix the flick after 4 weeks because it was unbearable but I’m still not smoking either. Mind over matter

Hi Mandy, You're right, it really is mind over matter especially since there is no nicotine in your system now nor has there been for some time. It's a bugger Champix causes you grief because it works well. I know it doesn't help much hearing what we've all written about before but drink lots of water, distract yourself, go for a walk, stay away from the booze and other smokers, change your routines that you normally associate with having a smoke, remind yourself of how it would be to have to start the quit all over again. If you use Quit Buddy app, when a craving hits, make a voice recording of how you're feeling and review your list of motivations to quit.
I was a 30 a day tragic and never thought I'd be where I'm at now so it is doable... You'll get through it and it only gets better from here on in now that you've already dealt with the worst part of the quit.

Its true you have been thru the worst of it and you should be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and you won't ever have to put yourself thru that ever again, also Good on you for Saying away from the Ice for this long that's an achievement on Its own I was on speed many years ago and Manage to beat it and Alcohol. What your doing Today will Prepare you for tomorrow and make you a much stronger person for it. Hang in there, Ron
