    Tough Weekend

I am not a big drinker these days and go for months on end without a single drink.  Since I quit 120 days ago I have had a few light sessions and have not really been tempted to smoke.  However on Saturday I caught up with people I had not seen for a long time and it developed into a reaally heavy session.  We were outside at the club because it was such a lovely night but this mea...

    Vivid Smoking Dream

Posted in Quit experiences 14 Aug 2013

I had the most vivid dream that I had started smoking again last night.  I have never had any dreams I can remember about smoking before   In the dream I woke up got straight out of bed and sat on the back steps with my dog and lit up a cigarette. I could clearly see the old style picture packaging, I could smell the tobacco everything.  The dream was so real that I awoke for real ...

90 days smoke free.  I cannot recommend hypnotherapy highly enough.  I feel fantastic every day is just great I can breathe much better I do not run out of puff so easily and I do not know if it is a placebo effect or not but some things just taste more intense.  A big thank you to all who have supported me through this journey so far I realise there is some way to go yet but I am...

Here it is 76 days smoke free, $2,200 in front and feeling so fit and well I am dead-set dangerous.  I know I say it every time I stop and think about it, I would never have thought it possible but I have done it!  I do not feel at risk of smoking, others smoking does not worry me I feel strong and determined to keep going.  I rarely even think about smoking anymore. I am in my mi...

    63 Days Smoke Free

Posted in Hints and tips 11 Jul 2013

Well 63 days smoke free!  Who would have thought it?  Certainly not me!  My partner had her first hypnotherapy session on Tuesday night and has her second today.  She now understands how weird this process is.  One day you are a dedicated smoker, the very next day you are standing outside with everybody smoking around you and it does not bother you.  You have al...

7 weeks and I am feeling strong and fantastic.  Just went out and bought myself a new 50"HD TV with the savings I have realised so far.  It is a tangible realisation of what I have achieved so far.  And yes I am wallowing in self-congratulations and it feels just fantastic!  Keep up the fight everybody!

    42 Days today

42 days today without a smoke.  Smoke-free now feels normal.  I cannot recommend hypnotherapy highly enough.  It seems to work. Funny thing though, up until the last couple of days not much seemed to worry me, however, over the last couple of days I am finding that the smell of my partner's car is overwhelmingly disgusting, to the point that I am very reluctant to even get in it.&...

Firstly let thank all the people who have commented, your kind and supportive comments are really appreciated. Well week 5 and I have not spent in excess of $990.00 on smokes.  Every day that goes by I am more convinced that this is no longer an attempt to give up smoking; I have really, actually, STOPPED!  It does not worry me with people smoking around me, in my work place I am surro...
