On this day 3 years ago was the start of a new way of living without smokes, a new journey without being controlled by smokes, which i tell myself they were/are false friends.they were always there for me but for all the wrong reasons, but when i was a smoker, they were there for the right ones..
For my 3 years i have saved and stashed away $20,280...

I have been reading my past stories from my 6 months into my No Smoking journey, and
What a journey i have been on.
Trials and tribulations, the highs n lows,
I started my Quit journey 26.09.2015
Reading about my journey, i had tears in my eyes to think this is me, i am reading about me.
I am not the best about putting my thoughts onto print, but i try my utmost to give my support to other...
Well, who would of thought i would be saying today.... i have achieved reaching 800 smoke free days....what a journey. I survived not being dictated to by something i never thought i could get rid of from my life,

26th September 2015, was the day that smoking wasn't for me anymore, it has been quiet a journey but one i survived, and its very doable, once you learn to let go of a very false but reliable friend, apart from the $$$$$ saved, its also about not smelling of smoke, weather its in your house, car, clothing, hair., another great benefit is not having to make sure if leaving the house or work that...
Lia..have you heard from Dobbin by any chance, last message i can find from him, is at the end of May. Hope is all ok with him .
He was about a week earlier than I in quitting so he should be at the 23 month mark now.
Miss his little pearls of wisdom.
I have even suprised myself by not having a smoke or a smoke related item to my lips in 20 months, this has been a great milestone for me to achieve.
Still have the occasional crave but this soon passes.
I still put my $120.00@ week away.
I am looking forward to my 2 year mark as my last smoke was the 26th September.
Today I was at a gathering with 6 smokers, myself and a young teenager were the only ones not smoking, well that gave me the biggest buzz, and at no stage did I feel like indulging in my past habit.
But I did enjoy the smell...but I do know that they all have mentioned that they would like to give up, because its getting so expensive, or the smoke associated health complaints are starting to set...
As another year (2016) comes to an end, I celebrate to myself 15 months, 2 xmas's, and after the bringing in of new year tonight, I will wake up as a smoker that has given up with a saving of $7920.00 in my kitty.
When I started this journey I never thought I would have progressed this far but with determination, positives and in some ways being selfish it was going to be about me.
I am posting today as tomorrow I will be at work.
Tomorrow...26 September or 377 days it will mark 1 year of going cold turkey.
I have for 1 year of not smoking saved in a smart kitty $6240.00.
I have suprised myself with what I have achieved... others have asked if I was going to celebrate with a smoke....the answer is simple, NO..
Temptation at times is still there but I have to be strong,...
Today is a major Milestone for myself and an incentive to others who are also on a journey of No Smoking.
Today marks 9 months or 39 weeks or 285 days of No Smoking.
Saving to date has been $4680.00 which I have been tucking away each week
$120.00 which is what I would of been spending, so the saving has been quite
substantial and it still continues to grow each week and a great incentive.
