...is what I’ll call the craving. Had a wine last night, at home by myself, and smoked 3 cigarettes...aaargh! Didn’t even enjoy the second 2. Throwing them away and starting again today. No coffee, no wine, just NRT lozenges. Snacking & drinking water is helpful, and like one of the other quitters said, it’s surprising how much one can eat if it’s healthy food, like raw veggies. Off to the gym.
Day 2 and i’ve had half a cigarette with morning coffee. Day 1 was definitely made easier by not drinking wine. Got some NRT lozenges now. Hard to hold a thought for long! What was I saying....?
Day 1 and I can’t hold a thought for more than a few seconds, except the thought that I’d like a smoke! I remember when my dad quit years ago. He’d stare out the window with a glass of juice in his hand instead of a cig. I’m replacing each cig with a glass of water, focusing on how clean and refreshing it feels going down.
