Thank you all for your kind comments. I would love to continue supporting others on this site, but by not allowing me and others to comment on stories, I am unable to participate which I find very disappointing. But I guess the powers that be think they have improved the site regardless of what we think. Thanks again....stay strong and focused xx

Hi Everyone, I can’t post from my iPad anymore so I guess you won’t be hearing from me again. I do not have a mobile phone so that is not an option. Since they changed the format I find it more difficult to navigate. I think they call it progress or improvement...lol I wish you all a happy and successful journey....take care xx

I have had problems trying to comment on stories so I have resorted to doing it this way. So sorry that you are hurting so much Leeann. This is a bump in the road...it does not define your whole journey this far. Keep going girl, you are my quit buddy, and you have a milestone to celebrate next month and I will not leave you behind. xx

Well I am 1 year quit today...woo hoo. Best decision I have ever made....has changed my life for the better. When I started out I did not really want to quit, I enjoyed smoking, but I knew that sooner or later the decision would be made for me and I wanted to take control. Thanks so much to Red, Leeann and Reese, you have encouraged me along the way and I appreciate your support always. Thanks a...

Hi All, Just thought I would try to help a few of the people who have posted Llanelli about their struggles with quitting. We keep saying it and that is because it is key to quitting happily. Your mindset is a very powerful tool...and you can use it to aid in quitting more easily. Be happy that you have quit...be happy that you have been smart enough to kick that habit out of your life. A lot ...

Hi Everyone, I am now 10 months and 1 week into my new life. I rarely, very rarely even think about my old life. Smoking is simply something I used to do...and have zero interest in ever doing again. For those of you who are finding it a struggle.....keep your thoughts positive and learn to despise those smokes. Make smoking something you no longer want in your life....not something you can’t ha...

    Depression and anxiety

Hi All, I have been reading quite a few posts lately regarding the feeling of anxiety and depression during the quit journey. We talk a lot about mindset for a very good reason....you will not crave what you truly do not want. The depression and anxiety because you have quit smoking is simply your subconscious telling you that you really miss smoking and you can’t cope without it....all of which ...

    Being Trendy

Hi All, so many new people on here, which is great. It made me realise that with the cost going up, many more people are being trendy and quitting the smokes. To be a non smoker is very trendy these days which is so great. Take it one day at a time, there is no fast track, just one day at a time. Deal with each challenge as it arises...you will do your head in if you try to predict too far ahead....

    Stay strong and alert

Stay strong and alert, 8 months today for me, but I came close to disaster the other day. My daughter had some bad news and she is a smoker, she visited me to tell me her troubles and I came close to having a puff. I don’t even know why the thought came into my head...stress has always been my main trigger though. Luckily I walked away and got control back, but it shows that no matter how long we...

    Support for all

Posted in Hints and tips 1 Jan 2019

We need to support everyone in a positive way.....we do not need quoted passages from books etc, we do not need people standing on their soap boxes dishing out advice as if they know all there is to know. We simply need to quietly encourage and support anyone that needs it. Everyone has a point of view, but I honestly believe there are some who are giving advice that has not been asked for. Somet...
