I am at 544 days quit now after 48 years of being a slave to it. I wanted to share an experience that I had a few days ago.....I was out with friends....none of them smoke...all of a sudden I felt the greatest urge to have a smoke that I have experienced so far. It came out of no where....I thought I was over ever craving again. That craving stayed with me for the rest of the day.
Hi All, everyone who is on this quit journey needs to take pride in what they are achieving every single day. Only non smokers think this is an easy thing to do, why don’t you just stop...it is easy. Someone who constantly battles with their weight hears...just stop snacking all the time and exercise..its easy. Well it isn’t easy when smoking or food is your addiction. We are taking back control ...
You know multiple quit attempts is a positive......if you keep trying it means you are serious about the quit journey. It would be so easy to try and fail and never try again. But everyone who keeps trying knows in their heart and mind that this is something they really want to achieve.....and with every try you will get closer to achieving your goal. I can’t count the quit attempts I h...
Hi All, just want to say that for those struggling....try embracing your quit totally. I read stories on here and you sound so sad about quitting. You have to want to quit...if you want to quit then be happy about it. Embrace it...look forward to each new day knowing it will get easier and better. Don’t feel as though you are depriving yourself of anything good, because you are not.
Quitting is ...
Thank you all for your kind comments. I would love to continue supporting others on this site, but by not allowing me and others to comment on stories, I am unable to participate which I find very disappointing. But I guess the powers that be think they have improved the site regardless of what we think. Thanks again....stay strong and focused xx
Hi Everyone, I can’t post from my iPad anymore so I guess you won’t be hearing from me again.
I do not have a mobile phone so that is not an option. Since they changed the format I find it more difficult to navigate. I think they call it progress or improvement...lol
I wish you all a happy and successful journey....take care xx
I have had problems trying to comment on stories so I have resorted to doing it this way.
So sorry that you are hurting so much Leeann. This is a bump in the road...it does not define your whole journey this far. Keep going girl, you are my quit buddy, and you have a milestone to celebrate next month and I will not leave you behind. xx
Well I am 1 year quit today...woo hoo. Best decision I have ever made....has changed my life for the better.
When I started out I did not really want to quit, I enjoyed smoking, but I knew that sooner or later the decision would be made for me and I wanted to take control. Thanks so much to Red, Leeann and Reese, you have encouraged me along the way and I appreciate your support always. Thanks a...
Just thought I would try to help a few of the people who have posted Llanelli about their struggles with quitting. We keep saying it and that is because it is key to quitting happily.
Your mindset is a very powerful tool...and you can use it to aid in quitting more easily.
Be happy that you have quit...be happy that you have been smart enough to kick that habit out of your life. A lot ...
I am now 10 months and 1 week into my new life. I rarely, very rarely even think about my old life. Smoking is simply something I used to do...and have zero interest in ever doing again. For those of you who are finding it a struggle.....keep your thoughts positive and learn to despise those smokes. Make smoking something you no longer want in your life....not something you can’t ha...
