    Slip up

So I slipped up today. A session with my psychiatrist today was a trigger. I only smoked 3/4 of the cigarette and it tasted horrible, given me a headache and nausea. I admit during the last 7 days I have fantasised about having one last cigarette and I'm kind of glad I gave in because now I know for certain that it's just gross! Never again!

At the end of day 4 today. Yesterday was bad. I discovered that my craving to smoke mostly happens in the afternoon/evening. When it hits, I make myself focus on how much my physical health has improved already.

Half way through day 1 and I'm not doing to bad. I know the worst is yet to come, but I don't have the anxiety I used to have at this stage on previous attempts. I'm using a mouth spray medication and wow, that is an acquired taste lol. I've only had to use it for really bad cravings (2 at this point) and it really does kill that craving quick smart.

I have always been scared to quit because I know how hard it will be and how you have to keep strong mentally to resist the cravings. As someone who has a mental illness, this can be extremely daunting thing to do. Just take it 1 day at a time, and if you slip, don't be too hard on yourself. I'm not saying to quit quitting, but it might be able to show what your triggers are. When you see what t...

So i had a slip up last night. Very stressful work day and i bought a pack. I feel so crappy about it. The good news is that after having a couple of smokes, i started feeling sick and nauseous. Today is a new day and I've got my patch on, had my morning coffee and i don't even want a cigarette, even though i have a full packet at my side. I find this is a huge step forward for me. If today is st...

    Day 1

End of day 1. I've attempted before, but because i didn't really want to, i was unsuccessful. Lately i haven't been enjoying it so i got prescription patches. Tried champix before but it really messed with my mental health. I've had a few cravings today. The typical ones, morning coffee, after a meal etc but if i distract myself for about 10 minutes or so, it helps. My test will be driving to wor...
