It is just short of 500 days for my Quit Buddy Mike and I!!! We both quit on the same day but only met on this site. We decided to become quit buddies to help each other to stay on track. He has been the best quit buddy ever and I highly recommend grabbing yourself a quit buddy, it really does help. We are still friends to this day. I never thought I’d make it this far but I’m ...
Grab yourself a Quit Buddy
Ive recently started meditation for other reasons but im sure it would help some with cravings if practiced enough. The free apps i am using are the calm app and belly bio. Of course they try to get you to pay for them but i find whats on there for free is enough.
Happy smoke free days all.
My quit buddy Mike1972 and I have reached our first 100 days smoke free!!!
Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you Mike on reaching such a huge milestone!!! It's been quite a ride but we've had each other's backs all the way through. I believe that I can speak for Mike who like myself, still have the odd craving but we are both determined not to give in. We both strongly agree with Not One Puff Ev...
I'm loving seeing so many NOPEing away!!
I first saw that saying from Flora, a member of this site and the mantra is helping me and by the looks of it so many other people using the same strategy!
I don't live in fear of N.O.P.E in fact it's the opposite for me, it's sooooo empowering and for the times those annoying cravings hit, it's so good to say NOPE.
It's funny, I was walking around th...
Well last night I had the most vivid dream about looking everywhere for a cigarette!! It was like I could see and feel myself squashing my hand bag in desperation for my pack of smokes. Wow over 70 days and this can still happen.
Alongside Lia, Dobbin, Steve the muso and Johnnie (all longer term quitters) a person who I admire so much is Cranky76. She tells it like it! Cravings and t...
Hi and welcome,
I was just reading a few posts where some new to quitting felt like they couldn't contribute to conversations at times because they're new.
I really want to reach out and say please don't feel like what you have to say doesn't count. Especially if you're giving a suggestion.
Of course everyone's views count. We are all on the same ride!
Have a great smoke free day or nig...
Lia suggested to have a quit buddy and what a great idea that was and is!!
My quit buddy Mike and I have just reached our two month smoke free mark.
It's a very inspirational thing to do because you can help each other to remain smoke free.
I'm proud of myself for getting this far and I'm so happy to have reached another milestone.
Huge congratulations to my quit buddy Mike also be...
I couldn't find a health part but last night I was taken by ambulance into hospital because I temporarily loss vision in my right eye for the 3rd time in less than a month.
I've been seen by a whole stroke team who are completely baffled as to why this is occurring. Now they are uncertain if I'm experiencing mini strokes because I've no other symptoms and every single test has come...
Firstly I think it's great that so many
are uniting world wide to quit or remain quit.
Anyway, I heard a Quitline add on the radio in Melbourne Victoria over the weekend and I'm not sure if it's a new
campaign they are trialling to assist
people who are hesitant to quit.
I didn't hear the whole advertisement but I think they are trying to encourage
people who may not be ready to q...
