I think the whole counting days is keeping the thought of smoking on your mind... You need to say " you know what, today I'm going to stop smoking and I'm going to move on with my life" and that's that. Stop talking about it, thinking about it and push on. So... My tip is, STOP COUNTING "how long" since you quit!!
Keep yourself busy and distracted! Workout, walk, clean the house, take a bAth, do some weeding, mow the lawns, clean the windows, read or chat to a friend (that doesn't smoke of course) these are just a few of my tricks to keep myself busy to fight the temptation
I am keeping myself busy. Avoiding my triggers, coffee, reading and drinking alcohol. I have changed my work smoke breaks to yummy hot chocolate breaks.
