I gave up with nrt, first mouthspray then gum. It really is just the nicotine. After a while I could be in the newsagents and not think about buying cigarettes but when I was in the chemist I'd think 'oh, some gum would be nice'. It took a while but I'm now free of nrt, smoking and nicotine altogether. No intention of going back or having an...
Still doing well. I finally stopped the gum, had a few minor cravings for about three weeks but it was more of a mild discomfort than anything else.
At 20 a day that's 10000 ciggies I haven't smoked!
Still going well, still take chewing gum now and again. I had a mail from I Can Quit reminding me it was a year and telling me my risk of heart disease is halved compared to continuing smokers. The health benifits and the money saved are just great motivators. The freedom you get is amazing!
Just passed the 300 days milestone, looking forward to the 1 year mark!
still on track, it does get easier with time. I'm still on the quickmist and gum, saved a wad of cash, put on a stone in weight and taking to walking 10000 steps a day to get fit.
I still WANT to stop smoking and that hasn't changed since I started this quit attempt. I think you have to be in the right mindset to get through it.

I'm really chuffed, it's not been easy sometimes, but I've managed to stay off the smokes for a hundred days. Still using the quickmist but not as often, hope to stop using nrt but not going to rush it.
I'm still going strong, when I have a craving I just think NOPE, Not One Puff Ever, and have a blast of quickmist. It's been working so far.
I've reached 50 days, yay! On the quickmist and reading the stories on this site has been helpful.
