    Letting Go

    My desire to smoke again is leaving me completely. I feel so happy with this and I am using the money saved towards a gym membership, travel and some new clothes.     My tip for quitting the smokes is just to Do it ! And follow the simple philosophy of NOPE meaning not one puff ever. This forum is one of my better discoveries I think it’s very helpful.     Mr Nic o tine

    I have finally realised that Mr Nic o’tine is an evil and wicked tyrant who aims to destroy brain chemistry and invade and break down every tissue and organ of the human body then laughing all the way to the bank. This could sound a bit extreme but that is what smoking does. I have had a lightbulb moment. And that is enough for me to say no more and goodbye forever to this insidious habit.

    Staying smoke free

    Hi, I stopped smoking in September 2021 and I was going well for about 5 months which included a few slip ups of a single cigarette.     A recent relapse

    I had a relapse that lasted on and off for a few weeks. I felt horrible - really unhealthy and anxious and finally said to myself I don’t want to smoke my life and me is so much better without cigarettes. I really believe that now.     Just a quick few words on my quit experience so far .... The benefits of quitting smoking far outweigh the effort involved. Quitting can be really hard but there are lots of personal rewards in it like a new appreciation of Life. Plus you get energy !

    These are some of the things I do and think about in order to beat my cravings: 1. Take several deep breaths exhaling out my mouth. 2. A 10-15 minute silent meditation just focusing on cool air into my brain and warm air flowing out of my nostrils. Then change the warm air to cool for 10 mins then at the end back to warm. 3.
