Hello my friends! It has been a while since I have checked in. With having to find a new residence and then moving, it's been a busy time.
It's my 35 week anniversary of quitting today. I couldn't have done it without all of you. Your support was so instrumental in my quit process.
I only hope that all of you have been as blessed as I have.
I received an email saying that I hadn't visited for a while. I thought I would see how everyone is doing. And, give an update on my status.
Hi everyone. I want to apologize to all of you. I haven't been able to be on here lately to lend support. Trying to get ready to move has kept me busy.
Tomorrow (6/10) is the 6 month anniversary of the day I had my last cigarette. I couldn't have done it without all of you . You're an amazing group of people. I have had some ups and downs the last half year, but I haven't smoked and for that I a...
I just wanted to share that it is the 21 week anniversary of my last cigarette! I have gone through and am still going through anxiety riddled problems, but refuse to give in to the urge to have a smoke. Thanks to all of you for your support and kind words through all of this. You all ROCK!!
December 10, 2018. One of the best days of my life. The day! Had my last cigarette. I have dealt with more medical issues the last two years than ever before, and all because of smoking.
Friday, I had to have a breast biopsy. Nothing to do with smoking, I don't think.
Thank God the results came in negative for malignancy. I couldn't be more grateful to God, and for any and all prayers sent up o...
Saw my Cardiologist on Friday. Thank God he told me everything looked great after my stress test.
I saw my regular doctor early this morning. She says my blood work looks great, except for my thyroid levels. Easy fix. Nothing to do with smoking.
Then I had an ultrasound at my surgeons office. Again, I believe all is well.
So, my health is great, super duper, wonderful. I am celebrating my 18 w...
I am at 124 days smoke free, or almost 18 weeks. I mentioned last week that I am having difficulties lately because of major upheavals causing major stress.
I haven't smoked and I am not going to but I am finding it hard to find something else to occupy my mind.
My husband still hasn't found a job and we have about 2 months before we have to start moving to-somewhere.
I can't work because I am...
I had my last smoke on December 10, 2018. For the first time since that day, I am really worried that I might falter and return to smoking. My husband and I received a notice that we have to vacate our home so that the owner can do some repairs. Financially, thos could not come at a worse time. He's unemployed and I am still recovering from surgery, so I am unable to work. He is receiving unemplo...
I made it! I am now at at 15 weeks (105 days)! I am so grateful to be able to say that I am a non-smoker!
I have experienced some depression over the last week or so but I attribute that more to thinking about my surgery in December and how close I came to not being here anymore. That realization finally hit me last week. A delayed reaction, I guess.
But that realization, and the 10 inch scar o...
As I mentioned before, I quit smoking on December 10, 2018. I did so because that's the day I had surgery and spent 9 days in the hospital.
All of my health issues can be attributed to smoking.
Today I had to have a heart stress test done, to see if I have done any damage to it.
I will get the results next month.
I feel so much better now. I only wish everyone could quit like I did. Not that ...
