I have tried so many times to quit but failed every time.
This time I’m going to put 200% into it
Smoking 40+ a day and now on the NRT
I’m on day one today so yes I have a long way to go
My biggest setback is all the other smokers around me
I live and work with people smoking around me
Any tips on how to overcome and beat this is greatly appreciated
If you really do get all your priorities straight, then you can see that life is full of love and love is full of life. It could only get up and go up from that point on that you realize that nothing beats it once you realize you can get over anything you need to with the help of those who love you.
My parents have been so much of a help. They cannot be less burdensome if they tried. I love t...
Wohooo. It's been 90 days I'm nicotine free and I just want to share that happiness with you guys . Without this platform ,my 90 days journey won't complete . As everyone knows it was a roller coaster ,but when I standing on 90days I can strongly say that I am mostly out from all the regular symptoms expect little mood changes (occasionally) and I can feel life is going in a different tract th...
I can’t believe it’s been an year already. I have never felt better! I try to take it one day at a time and each day is a small victory. I encourage anyone who is struggling with staying quit to change up their daily routine. This was a huge help in the beginning and some of those healthy habits have stuck! I still get the occasional thought when drinking but it’a not so much a craving as it i...
Dear icanquit fellows,
I dont know what to say. While I am typing this, I am in a very negative sad state of mind and really wanted to talk to someone who dont judge me and understand me.
This has nothing to do with my craving or smoking habit because I am cold turkey since 2+ years and though I am going through a lot of mental trauma, i dont really crave. Yes, sometime in the negative stat...
I’m now 2 weeks down and I have spoken to my GP who was happy for me to stop the CHAMPIX which I was surprised by. For some reason, I assumed she was going to try and talk me out of it and say I can’t quit before 12 weeks is gone. She has asked me to take one pill a day and not 2 until I finish my pack. I have three days left of it.
Today it was raining in Melbourne and I woke up with a cravi...
I find myself coming back to change my quit date. This is a good system to use, I've just got to stick with it when the going gets rough, which it has recently. I need to get the seductive image of smoking out of my head. It masquerades as something exotic and pleasurable, but it isn't it just wants to entrap me. That's all, I've just got to stick with it and it will get easier.
I have gone 54 days cold turkey from a miracle. I never made a decision to stop smoking I made a decision not to continue. I smoked for 40 years 30 to 40 rollies a day. I had a health issue and was rushed of to hospital at a moments notice, I was there for 7 days and was unable to smoke, when released I decided not to continue and here I am smoke free. I have had two heart attacks and been to hos...
I’m 316 days in I’ve come from smoking 70 rollies a day. The price of them at the time were $50 a day. I have since bought all new furniture, decluttered my house and have learnt new ways to cope with stress anc now have hobbies to keep me busy. I quit cold turkey with nicotine replacement. I’m slowly going down off them but will never smoke again. I thought I’d never quit. I got to the point whe...
