Hello, I am approaching my 1 year away from Smoking and loving it!. I can tell the newer Quitters that the feelings you are going through now will be replace with a feeling of accomplishment after awhile. Stay strong, Keep Quit and be well! I can honestly say that if I can do it anyone can! I loved smoking (stupidly) and work in an environment where 98% of the people smoke and love it also. Pleas...
To date I've saved over $43,000-00 having quit 1933 days ago.
Last year I had massive heart attack and ended up with major heart surgery (CABG X 4). I had previously been a smoker since the age of 12 (for 55 years). The only reason I survived was the fact that my lungs and circulatory system had enough time heal itself before operation - I am first to admit I pushed it to the limit but, so will ...
After many years I have done it with the help of my Doctor and Champix I am now 9 months down the road and a lot of money in the bank $4100.00. it was not easy but stay positive and you can do it. Spending the savings on a well earned holiday. Feeling much better, put on a bit of weight but who cares I don't. YOU CAN DO IT.GIVE UP THE FILTHY THINGS.
Call it what you will. Not a bad pay rise over 2 years. Bumpy road and surprises along the way but I wouldn't have it any other way. Cravings always posed a challenge but nothing I could not deflect. The best deterrent was the encouragement and comoraderie I had on this site oh so long ago. Cannot imagine having lasted this long without the support and encouragement of those who were here oh so l...
2 years and 18 days smoke free. Feeling a lot better these days. I hardly think of it anymore. At first I really struggled but i'm going good now.
Good luck everyone, its really worth it in the end.
Today is my 12 months anniversary of quitting, if you're just starting or thinking about quitting if I can do it you can do it, even before I started my journey I always had this voice in my head talking me out of quitting, smoking is my friend and nahh nothing bad will happen too you and that's before I even started, I summoned up so much courage and the help of Champix, my husband, the Quitline...
12 months smoke free wow who would have thought all I can really remember now is walking those cravings away good luck to all the newbies
I've been smoke free for one year today. I set a date a year ago and stuck to it.
I live in a smoke free home which makes all the difference!
I get cravings every now and then and remind myself the journey I've been on to quit. Not worth even thinking about smoking.
I'm very proud of my effort!
Hi all just on 310 days today and indicator shows a $9000 saving. Just incredible that one can waste so much money and "what for"? Cravings and urges have really diminished and breathing thank God much better....no more wheezing. Yes the habit lingers on but so what.?..try to keep busy. This is definitely a very hard journey but when i take in the posts from some of the long term quitters e.g. D...
Well here I am at 300 days. I never thought I'd be here and be able to say it out loud !!!! Yes 300 days and without one sly smoke on the side that in past attempts I used to try and sweep under the rug like it never happened.
Now it seems those nagging craves that haunt us throughout the first six months are definitely in the past. However as a muso, the associations of a smoke in hand with a...
