I am not quite 60 but have smoke more than half my life. I had quit before but being younger it never quite stuck. Past winter I had the one strain of Flu (I did have my Flu shot) then back to back case of Bronchitis. My coughing was so bad for two months, that my ribs were hurting. Lung X-Ray "ok" (I would assume for a smoker" but my Physician had asked me prior to have a CT Scan of my lungs due...
I think that my own journey is more of one of miraculous benefits.
I feel so much better than when I was smoking. It is a pitfall by humanity to encourage smoking. As the gateway into so many drugs, what can people do to not make the world so overly excited by cigarettes? I really don't have a precise answer, being a simple-minded individual. Some genius has the answer.

Only day 1 but determination
I want to quit smoking for my health, my family & for money.

I hated myself, I hated cigarettes, I hated everything about the control I was under. A mate of mine gave me Allan Carrs book "Quit Smoking the Easy Way" it took me ten days to read it and by the end I'd realised, I hadn't had a cigarette in two d...

Keep going guys and we'll get through this.
And thanks fo...

The cigarettes and lighter where in the bedroom, away from where she was meant to be.
That was the moment that I needed to understand h...

Its time to stop. I have grandchildren and i want to see Australia. I HAVE to do this.
Well, this is like my 7th try I think. I just look back sometimes when I was not smoking and I wonder how on earth did I agree to this bad habit. If I stayed so many years without smoking in my life, why can't I be like that again?! Anyway, will see how this time goes :)
