I remember the last cigarette I had. I don’t remember enjoying it, and I wanted another one but It was 1201am only quit date so I refrained. The only was I have had success, and I have made 1 month before, is without alcohol. No drinks and no ciggies is easy for me. Now all I have to do is either never drink again, or get a handle on it! Wondering how long I should wait to have a beer, it won’t b...
21 days today. No more cravings and smoking feels like a distant memory! I dreamt 2 days ago that I smoked a cigarette and was angry about it( in my dream). I was so happy and relieved when I woke up. Don't know why I had the dream in the first place cause I wasn't thinking about smoking! any hints???
Day 24 SF. Many many quit attempts. Longest quit time was 6?weeks about 3 years ago. This time I’m ready to make sure it’s a permanent change.
My motto is
I borrowed that from elsewhere but find it a very powerful reminder that I will always be just one puff away from going back to full blown smoking addiction. Using Nicotine patches is helpful for me. My first ...
Once I realized how much I’ve been lied to by “the powers that be”, I have been free. Today is Day... hmm don’t even know... I quit on April 28th... not one puff, not one gum, not one vape, totally cold turkey...smoked for...hmm... 50-14... whatever that is... don’t want to get caught up in “numbers”.... I still think about it but it's easier to get the thought out of my head whereas before in the earlier days or previous quit attempts I would obsess about it until I finally just went and bought that pack or smoked that smoke. Knowing I have that pack in my kitchen drawer eases the craving...
I just want to share my happiness of being smoke-free for 6 months with you as happiness increases if you share it with someone.
It was Sep 15, 2020, when I decided to quit smoking suddenly and found that this was the best decision of my life. I read Allen Carr's book, experiences of all here on iCanQuit. That helped me a lot while quitting.
Although it was an easy ...
Hi, I’m 20 days in and had a drink last night and I didn’t enjoy it without smoking 😏 it’s all I could think of so I stopped drinking! Does it get better?
I am three weeks today! Very exciting, in the past I have always struggled at this time, and always forgotten about the reasons I want to not smoke, it’s like all the short term benefits have been achieved and so I can’t see a point to keep going. This time it is different, I feel different, I just keep dreaming of that lovely smoke free woman that I want to look and be, and smell like in a years...
