I am so happy to share that it's been 7Months since I had my last cigarette.
I am travelling and in the same hotel where I traveled 7 Month ago after quit and was struggling like a addict to smoke. This time I have no such cravings.
I am day five smoke free
Today is HARD
I have been using patches 21mg
Today I wanted to relax in a hot tub so hadn't put a patch on untill 3pm.
Its been and emotional rollercoaster, I have had to pull the will power out today!
Feel like crawling into a ball and hiding.
I refuse to go back I never ever want to feel like this again.
Counting down the days I need this to get easier.
KEEP A LIST of reasons why you are quitting. Mine is typed and is three pages long.
When you are having a craving, you have two choices: have a cigarette or don't have one. Make the better choice!
Day 20 for me after smoking for over 20 years, cold turkey was the only thing I think would have worked for me but I think I am now over the worst of it. However two nights ago I had an extremely vivid dream in which I had a smoke, I woke up really disappointed with my self and not knowing if I had actually given up. The dream was really unsettling and it made me realise how strong an addiction c...
Feeling so good today, 19 days free of smoking, I am also up to page 34 on Book by Allan Carr, finding it very helpful, did my to-do list without any stress or tiredness, and back on exercises most days now instead of every other day. Self talking every day too, "nicotine is not my companion" thanks everyone hope all goes well with you.
It isn't easy, but Champix certainly helped me. I have been a smoker for over 40 years and always thought giving up would be too hard after a couple of half assed tries. I finally tried Champix last year and have now clocked over 200 days smoke free. It really is worth a try.
I agree that it increases your appetite and that sleeping is a bit harder, but the eating urge only lasted for a couple...
Hi All just checking in ... as a recap I did 35 days NRT patch and am now 24 days cold turkey. My last update I was really trying to make that positive mental shift in thinking which helped a lot. But... thought I would be all good come that magical 3 weeks or 21 days... nope had 3 or 4 days of constant cravings...so annoying...I really did expect them to decrease but rather feel like they have k...
the ex came around yesterday, ended up having 2 puffs on her smoke, tasted bad, I don't class this as a setback - more a learning experience, had a few beers at the club this afternoon & the 2nd hand smoke made me cough - 20 days, feeling great (money saved has paid for bike rego)
You are my extended family here coz trust me that I can share without hesitation on this platform that once upon a time.. I was a SMOKER.
Yes I had no courage to socially admit to my family and friends (except the smoker company).
I always wanted to quit and this portal has helped me to stay connected and motivated as I can share my joy of quitting which I couldn't otherwise anyw...
I smoked my last cigarette on Jan 31st, 2019. I thought it would be impossible to quit smoking, but guess what!! I am succeeding. And it's not as difficult as I had thought it would be.
I do get cravings, but I am able to fend them off easily. In fact I am enjoying these moments of cravings. They are reminders of how cigarettes play with our minds. I don't want these ugly sticks to play with m...
