Anyone have any similar experience of week 4 or 5ish? I am experiencing terrible glass (both ends!) It's never ending. Also I'm constantly so tired, I sleep most of the time. Strangely I have very little cravings but my body is a mess. Should this still be happening over four weeks of no nicotine?
Feeling really nervous as I believe this to be my last attempt. It’s day 2 on champix and surprisingly it has taken affect already and I’m feeling less pleased with each cigarette. Hope to use this forum as a diary of my journey.
Hi guys, I've been smoke free for 12 days! But the withdrawal symptoms feel awful. I smoked roll-ups for around 9 years, I'm 22 years old now. It's not so much the cravings for cigarettes, my willpower is quite strong and I can handle that. It's just that my health anxiety is making my life absolute agony. I can't just go and see my doctor due to COVID which is making it 100 times worse. I've got...
Yeah everyone just wanting to share and celebrate my one month milestone of being smoke free. I am happy 😃 healthier and proud of myself. The journey to greater health continues as I have my first appointment next week with my personal trainer. Money I would have spent on smokes now goes to my well-being. Shout out to all of you on this very supportive online community. I am so great-full to ...
Being in Thailand, nearly 24 hours to my quit date. I'm really looking forward to it. Breathing better and being more healthy. I've already started a walking routine, as of yesterday. I'm just hoping I can quit for the rest of my lifetime. N.O.P.E. is definitely my new matra.
I quit smoking 6 months ago.I am still having intermittent stabbing pain and tightness in chest, slight shortness of breath and slight rise in heartbeat. These symptoms come for few days and go for weeks and back again.I have undergone electrocardiograph, echocardiogram,x-ray, urine and blood test. Doctor did not find anything alarming. I have a medical history of GERD and hypertension which is a...
Hi everyone my name is David and i now turned 46 started smoking at around 16,
I’ve lost count on the number of times I ve tried to quit and set a quit date and saying this is my LAST PACKET OF CIGARETTES 🚬

I’m A Month And A Few Days Smoke Free. Anybody Had To Start Back Because They Just Couldn’t Shake The Anxiety And Panic Attacks. I Mean I’m Always Thinking Something Is Wrong. I’m Spending Most Of Amy Days On Edge Panicky And My Nights Are Horrible I Hate To Even Think About Sleep Because It’s Like A Fight
I’m only a week into quitting after 24 years a smoker and the best advice I’ve had so far is from a former smoker: what are the benefits of smoking? I couldn’t answer it, there are no benefits. I also think about the suffering of cancer patients when the cravings are at their worst: do I want to suffer short term now for long term health or suffer long term then for long term illness?

Hi, I quit smoking July 1, 2020. But there are some weekends I drink a bottle of beer or two. I smoke for like 1-2sticks when I am drinking. I regularly smoke 10 sticks a day before I quit. I’ve been smoking for 10 years. So fast forward, september 27 was my last beer and smoke. After 2 days, i think the symptoms came. I have numbness in my left arm to and around my heart muscle, sometimes in the...
I only just joined here yesterday. Am over 3 weeks smoke free. I posted yesterday about dealing with over 3 hours of intense cravings due to work stress. Turns out that is not my worst day. The work I did yesterday was to put in for funding for my job.
Today just learned I wont have a job after Christmas. Work decided they were not going to seek further funding for my role. Am so tempted to...
My story is I was heavily addicted to nicotine and despite so many half successful attempts to quit I just couldn't do it. Conway I was depressed was an understatement- there were some very dark times.
I started to take champix, and had all the usual side effects. It took me four weeks taking champix before I could quit. But then to my amazement I quit. Took the champix for another two weeks, th...
Hi guys, I proudly annouce that I passed 5th months smoke free life this weekend..
Well, this month was easier mainly due to reason that had gone to work after 1 year and time during working days flies faster.. I also got my first payment yesterday.. :) Nevertheless I'm not cured yet, yesterday I got quite serious craving related with high pressure in work.. I need to learn how to cope with it....
Hi Everyone, Im Charki and I quit smoking in September, just over 3 weeks ago. I thought I had gotten through my worst cravings to smoke especially the physical ones but today was a whopper of a day. Over 3 hours of intense cravings to smoke. My brain was giving me a hard time I tell you. I had a deadline on a project for my boss and was falling behind stressing. Working from home and tryin...
Hi everyone, last week my husband and I quit smoking. 3 days, in control, feeling proud, a few moments where I was bored and it was difficult. On the evening of day 3 I was really really struggling. I sat down and pondered on the fact I was struggling then planned how I could have just one. Then it happened, I slipped. For two days we slipped. Then yesterday, we quit again and I am feeling strong...
Have 471 days under my belt! Yipee. This is sort of the best that I have ever felt. It's like I feel so much self-dignification and the need for more betterment. What else can I do to try getting better? The ideas that pop up sound outstanding. I have two little projects in the wings, just dealing with words and forming correct grammatical and worthwhile sentences. It could end up helping me alot...
Today is day 20 and for some reason I find myself cranky and craving. I keep saying NOPE to myself but it’s really hard today. I was doing so well. Any ideas why this is happening now please.

I have come to my anniversary by giving up smoking. I did it by going cold turkey and still haven't taken back up again, it been over 3 yrs now.
So sorry to everyone that when I post a comment it comes up twice. Very frustrating for me also. It is doing it automatically and I don’t know how to fix it. Once again I am so sorry that you have to put up with it duplicating

Today is my 180th day and just a few days shy of 6 months! My throat problems still bug me a bit but not as much as before! Once I got a clear diagnosis of no cancer from my ENT I started to feel better although I still have swallowing problems. In these 180 days, I will have walked 1000km soon and apart from my throat problems and cough, I feel great! If I could quit and stay quit, anyone can! I...
