My own attempts have had had many positive outcomes in my life for the good, but with each failure I was left with the feeling of guilt and being totally inadequate. How was it I could achieve so much with my new thoughts and beliefs yet not maintain my commitment to myself about smoking? I have learned for me that the long term maintenance of growing and being successful (as a person too) in my ...
I started smoking since I was 12-year-old and had attempted quitting more than 30 times.
It was the most challenging and arduous task I have ever undertaken.
Quitting was difficult because I believed that I had given up a real 'pleasure' or 'enjoyment.'
I deprived myself of a thing that I thought would give me 'happiness' it was no wonder why I envied smokers.
But as soon as I unde...
I just wanted to say thank you to all you guys who have written such heartfelt words for me.
I’m committed to replying to all of you , however I’m a bit of a technical moron and I can’t seem to find the way to respond to each of you.
If anyone could guide I would be most great full 🙏🏼
Hey guys! I’m aiming to be quit smoking by the 1st of July and I’m wanting advice I’m defiantly ready but I want to be prepared. Tell me how you quick. 💕
I have a very hectic life very stressful which I would always head straight for a smoke and I don’t want to replace smokes with food.
I’m just wondering how people work through basically life’s challenges how they have worked through it especially in the first couple of days. Please I would love to hear from your experiences
Hi new quitters! Congrats are getting this far in your quit. I often see new quitters ask when it will get better. My pro opinion (and at 32 months I’m allowed to have one) is that things start to mentally improve on Day 8. Day one is fairly easy. Day two makes you wonder if you can do this. Day three is the WORST because your brain just figured out what’s going on. Day four your brain is hav...

I didn't know what section to put this request in on this forum? I will be on 10 days without a cigarette but tomorrow is my Birthday and I usually go out with some family and friends. Bit of anxiety there, but I am looking forward to it also. Coming home and the let down of not celebrating with a cigarette is in my mind at the moment, so I need some ideas/help for tomorrow. Thanks
When I told myself that cigarettes were not friends it was easier to turn my back on them. Tip was given to me by Quitline person. I would get stressed then the internal dialogue was. No they won't help me they're hurting me and then I'd ring someone who'd care. Quit 12 years ago and won't go back I don't go back to bad friends Good luck choose an internal dialogue that works for you😀
Smoking doesn’t own you...REMEMBER THAT!
April 2005. After praying for a few years to be free from smoking I reached the point where I was done with the guilt and frustration. I told Jesus that I’m sick of asking for help and that from now on I’m gonna smoke till I die and I don’t care anymore...three days later I stopped smoking(it’s been 14 years and not one dhurry). Because I gave up giving...
