To all those doubting their ability to quit and also those wining the battle, if I can do it cold turkey I hope you can too. 1399 days and counting. Just like this milestone, tomorrow will be another one. Felt exactly the same after day 1 and then day 2 etc. One foot after the other. Move forwards and hopefully not backwards. Such a good feeling to listen to one's inner positive thoughts and not ...
Feeling so good today, 19 days free of smoking, I am also up to page 34 on Book by Allan Carr, finding it very helpful, did my to-do list without any stress or tiredness, and back on exercises most days now instead of every other day. Self talking every day too, "nicotine is not my companion" thanks everyone hope all goes well with you.
I regularly check my quit plan. OMG!!! 71 days and over $1700
Time for a reward... booked a holiday with my up in smoke money.
Enjoying not being a smoker. it is tough at time's, espcially with the craving's, but i keep reminding myself that if i start smoking again i will be back at square one and start all over again, so i just tell my self not to buy smokes and i will succeed. it is getting easier, but i will keep up telling my self to not buy smokes.
90 days smoke free,I am so blessed in all the support I recieve after 42 years of smoking and now I am not, is just sometimes overwhelming!!! I know now that anyone can do anything as long as you make up your mind to do it!!! thank you all for being there for us all
Update here ...I reached day 50 yesterday. Day 50 since I went cold turkey. But technically day 85 if I include the first 35 days with a patch. I now think of my patch days as training camp. Yes I was not smoking cigarettes but I still had a crutch and a nictotine addiction.
Anyhoo I am surviving. But wouldn’t say thriving. I don’t feel any better physically. As for mentally - every day for 85...
Today is day 25 since I quit smoking for good
For me I ended up with bronchitis that turned into Pneumonia and spent the night in hospital because I also had a massive asthma attack I have never had asthma before
I bawled my eyes out once I was stable
My quitting moment was for the first time as a mother I seen fear and worry in my children's eyes and faces, them seeing me so sick and knowin...
I made it! I am now at at 15 weeks (105 days)! I am so grateful to be able to say that I am a non-smoker!
I have experienced some depression over the last week or so but I attribute that more to thinking about my surgery in December and how close I came to not being here anymore. That realization finally hit me last week. A delayed reaction, I guess.
But that realization, and the 10 inch scar o...
I am wanting to quit smoking for my self and to give my family a better chance at life as smoking is costing $100 a week and i know i can put that money towards giving them and myself a better life but i am struggling again i have done 6 days of cutting back from 10 - 6 smokes a day but i want to quit really quickly and i find that if my partner isnt around i tend to hide half smokes and go back ...
I have just smoked the last of my tobacco.
I have two patches on and my nicorette lozenges at hand.
I have tried without any NRT and I can no longer even get through a day without it. I do agree with many punters that to do cold turkey is the best way ultimately as it gets all the nicotine out of your system and off the reliance on the actual drug, BUT! I need the help to quit now....
