I often pause and thank myself for giving me the best gift I could ever give myself. I quit smoking, without wanting to, without a plan.
Tha many failed attempt prior may have subconciously prepped me to finally do it 7 years ago.

I think there comes a time when we face our addictions and say "Enough". As I remember it, you didn't want to smoke on your trip , and kept busy with your son. He must be very proud of you.
