Is there anyone else go thru dependence on nrt
In my journey I smoked 20 a day three years ago.i can't handle the intensity of cravings with cold turkey so I use lozenges.roughly every 6to eight weeks i.gave myself permission oh I'll just have one .end up slowlygoing back to fifteen for one day.then my willpower would cut in and id go on the lozenges I had an attempt of going off only to go back to smoking due a traumatic event. What I see is now I developed a new habit of smoking every two months and my dependence on the lozenges always was there to fall back on its day 14today. My attempt to quit always bought depression I have a mental illness and the medication I was had a bad side effect of repressed mood so I understand why it was always an upward battle for me the psychiatrist changed my meds and my mood has lifted it feels wonderful to feel vital again .I was wondering firstly if any one else become dependant on nrt and how they beat

Hi Kerri. I have seen many people on here admit to being addicted to NRT;s just like you.
While they may actually be cheaper than smoking these days, I am sure that they are somewhat better health wise, especially on your lungs.
Have you read Allan Carr's book How to Stop Smoking Permanently? A small investment or a trip to your library will help your mindset and make quitting smoking or other addictions so much easier. I can only try to relay points and have done so throughout my earlier posts when I joined to help others.
We can only read, learn, and choose .
You can do this Kerri.
