Three years free

Hi everyone😊😍 Tomorrow will be 3 years since my last cigarette (it's the date I remember not the days I count). Having access to this platform and the support and encouragement I received from the many friends here played a major role in me arriving at 3 years free from the smoking shackles. My journey is here in the stories if you would like to read back on it to gain any useful tips or insight into my journey that can be transferred to help you in yours. The freedom I receive from being freeof the cigarettes has given me a whole new way of living life and for this I am forever grateful. My number one tip would be never ever ever give up trying to quit smoking. Prayerful and thankful days work wonders 🙏 ❤️ Love and blessings to you all

Another testament as to how good life is without the ball and chain.
Congratulations Jessfreeof! What a great name you chose for yourself.
I chose Happiness because I had joined a few days after I had quit and I was so happy that I just had to join another site and let people know that with the right tools, support and mindset that they too could be free.
It is so true that reading the success stories bolster your confidence and inspire you so much. We are the proof that it can be done!
No more excuses! Desire to control and JessBfree. lol

Good afternoon Jessfreeof congratulations on 3 years smoke free and thankyou for returning and sharing your experiences as your journey will help many focus on achieving success for many years to come

Congratulations Jess!
May I ask, do you still find yourself getting cravings here and there? If so, what do you do in these situations?
Again, congratulations.

Hi Jess. Your story is similar to mine. I posted earlier after 12 month absence. Notice Happiness is still about. It is the quit buddies on this site that give the best encouragement cos everyone is in the same boat. Their advice is not patronising even though friends mean well. Quit Buddies here truly understand. Have you ever heard a non smoker say that they would like to light up? Hmmm. Not likely.

Hi Jess,
Im still about too. Ofcourse I.m not looking for any Quit tips for myself these days! I like to print out my running tally of my days and money $(saved) etc...
...But...I really feel how lucky....ok, not lucky so much. Its a gratitude to the Quit Buddy's and the NSW cancer council for this "user friendly" webinar also.
Just a total gratitude of being freeof "a hideous affliction"
Stay Strong
Puff.

Thanks for your reply Jessfreeof. You have given me hope that even if the cravings come, long after you have quit, that it's easy to just ignore them and get on with your day.
I'm now day 24 and I have hope that I can do this. I think about cigarettes often, but I never actually want one - this is the first time I have ever felt like this. Even If I've had something stressful happen, a cigarette is the last thing I want. I know that each and every day, I am getting stronger mentally and in turn is helping with my self esteem and belief in myself to never return to cigarettes.
