79 days cold turkey but struggling mentally

Hey everyone,
I have successfully quit cold turkey and am on day 79.
I am pretty good physically luckily and did not experience a flu as such just insomnia and bad headaches.
I am still experiencing headaches, anger, mood swings, disinterest in general and struggles with getting to work hence I am not at work today.
I have been to the dr who said keep going basically.
Can I ask if anyone else is feeling like I am? Guess it is lack of endorphins and dopamine in my system but would love to hear from you please.

Giving up smoking isn’t hard it’s the thought processes around it that can be very challenging. Just know that the challenge of it will bring you new strength and confidence and you won’t feel lazy or breathless or tired physically if you keep on your quit. Also your mind will gradually change to Why did I ever smoke ?
It costs so much financially and physically/ mentally. You are paying corporate giants the tobacco companies to keep you in bad health and out of pocket. It’s all so pointless and sad.
Keep moving forward and don’t ever look back.

Thanks Robn and Cuba for your thoughts, comments and support...for going out of yoir way to message me. Means a lot.
I am seeking counselling for the head as may not be related to smoking..maybe smoking dampened my emotions.
Your advice and motivation helped today thank you

Hi Lise, I am sure you, Cuba & Robn are all correct and I think you could be in the 'void' period!
For me, I probably was low in dopamine like you suggest? Unfortunately smoking is possibly the best delivery system invented to release that dopamine hit instantly or within a few seconds......
What a discovery right!
Wrong.
As addicted smokers, it was repeatedly overused and also constantly depleting our dopamine, serotonin and other essential hormone store's.
So
What we have to do is Not Smoke Ever and eventually our natural hormone's do normalize after a period of time that can be different from one ex-smoker to another ex-smoker.
Wishing you and others' to get over the hump, I call the 'Void'. ASAP.

Some great ideas in the link above. Doing things that you enjoy also raise dopamine. The smell of lavender, eating chocolate and hugs also give us little hits that smoking used to deliver.
Are you embracing the change of quitting smoking? If you are fighting change, it will take it's toll mentally and physically. Stop thinking negative and think positive instead and you may find a positive change.
You've come too far to go back now. You can do it

mate MATE mate your almost there champ, if you take a puff now you will feel you turned on the blow torch on your chest and it will hurt real bad and give you head spins. No mate don't go there and I promise you, your new world will feel fantastic. The coughing will stop soon so will the dry reaching and your taste buds will improve and no more bad breath or your clothes and skin will have that horrible smell. At the end of the day do you wish to live longer ? then you know that answer
