It might be hard but stick with it

Well here we are 30 months to the day (912 Days) since I last had a smoke. I was out at the weekend and was tapped on the shoulder by a stranger looking for a light, I told them I don't smoke, funny thing is the same silly person got a light from somewhere and later offered me a cigarette. YUK. Finally I now really class myself not as an ex smoker but as a non smoker.

Congratulations on taking control of your life Des. We can quit this terrible addiction and never look back.

As you say, it gets easier with time, just as any adjustment in our lives, a move, a change of job or other life altering issues. We take them in stride, make the best of them and prevail. A positive attitude is crucial .

You have earned the right to call yourself which ever, an ex-smoker or non-smoker. Be proud!

Sweet. Congrats on you!!

I feel the same way. I’ve only been smoke free 18 months... but i find myself debating if I ever did smoke ( I did for 30 years ).

Its mind over matter
