Easy Peasy

My cravings have now gone away at least for the past few days and today. Really there’s no need to whinge at all, it is a real blessing to be able to never smoke again.
I’m going into the new year free as a bird. No more coughing and not being able to walk up hills, no more offensive stench of cigarettes, no more of it costing me the price of a house ( in the end).
It’s all so worthwhile to quit.

My cravings are gone, its been almost 4 months and not one slip up. Truth is after 37 years of smoking I realised I was making a big deal of giving up, and just dropped the drama and got it done. I feel great, just cannot believe I ever smoked its like the automated process has been removed and don't even remember smoking.

I agree with you Ris, I stopped obsessing over it and found that it is not so hard really, still early days but doing it.

It’s ok to obsess I mean it’s a very ingrained habit and more it’s an addiction.
I have been able to break it which is great. Others have great difficulties with it and my heart goes out to them.

Congratulations to everyone doing so well. Unfortunately in the Xmas celebrations I had a few drinks (studidly) which for me, lead to cigarettes as well. Back into it now though as don't want this stop /start all over again. We can all do this for good and just need to keep in our minds why we are beating this horrible addiction

Hi Now Time , it’s great that you are keeping on trying hard. Just try to keep your reasons in focus in your mind so that when cravings strike you have a strategy or two.

It is Now Time and no better time! We can quit smoking when we make up our minds to. It really is simple, no drama, just find things to keep your hands and minds busy. Choose a new path in life and feel good about your decision. Quitting can even be easier than we ever imagined when we stop expecting it to be hard.
