Hi Quitfam, day 38 today for me since becoming a non smoker, I was using lozenges, until yesterday morning when I consumed my last one. Ive been a little fearful and anxious for the moment of letting go of the aid, and almost told myself I needed one more lot.

Then I decided no I didnt and told myself its a vital part of my progress to let go of the aid and told myself to just rip the bandaid and face it now. I coped okay yesterday but did think about 3 times oh ill have a lozenger now, but then remembered Id stopped them.

Im a newbie still in my quit, but I am not a newbie with how to help the moment or thought pass, I am armed with eucalyptus lollies (popping a lolly in my mouth distracts me), or I eat something🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣 or a few deep breaths.

I will stay on track, I want this more than anything, and I do not want to ever throw in that towel again on myself.

Leeann, I have been tracking you since my recent quit. You have been nothing but an inspiration to me. Thank you,... honestly. I don't doubt for a second that you will be successful and be a non-smoker for EVER!!! You are very smart to exchange the lozenges with your distractions. To me, just the fact you have not had an actual cigarette means you are SUCCESSFUL. You are in the WINNERS TEAM! Keep on keeping on!!! Good job.

Yay, way to go Leeane.....What is that saying....."You have nothing to fear except fear itself" so you ripped the bandaid off, and we are all with you. NOPE (not one puff ever) keep on posting.

Bandages protect for the interim. Exposure to fresh air helps the healing process even further.

Congratulations on taking the next step to freedom. Value fresh air , freedom, and all the positive changes that come with your CHOOSING to become a non-smoker once again. We lost so much but we can regain what we once thought was lost. You have the power, you will succeed.....Keep up the great attitude!
