Not doing good

I am day 33 smoke free and I have to admit it has not been easy. Been in lockdown and my mum is in hospital after having a mild stroke and not allowed to go and visit her. I would give anything to have a cigarette

Don't do it. Last year I quit, my son went to prison and I picked up a cigarette. Smoking didn't alter my son's situation it just made me a smoker again. I am just over 6 weeks smoke free now and nothing will have me pick up a cigarette again. Call the quit line and speak with a counselor they can help you through this stressful period without a cigarette. You are doing awesome ❤️

Thank you so much. I have been taking to people. The only good thing about this lockdown not been able to go to the shops all the time. I haven't had one and I definitely not going too. Lately when I have been thinking of getting a packet I either buy my grandsons something or I get myself something.

Stay strong Furbaby, not only in regards to smoking but for your Mom and others in this terrible time. The worst not being able to be there at her side, but it is a mild stroke and count yourself lucky. It is a warning . I lost my whole left side and recovered 18 months ago. and I am sure your Mom will be back to her normal life very soon. She would be mortified if you picked up that smoke when she is fighting for her health back. She would blame herself too.
NOPE, not one puff. Chain smoking will not change the situation. Smoking causes more stress and solves nothing.
You are stronger than nicotine and your Mom is strong too. We can do what we put our minds too. Do what your Mom will be doing, train the mind and the body will follow.......Best wishes to you and your Mom. Hugs.
