When temptation arises

I havent smoked for 9 weeks now. I completed 4 weeks of champix. I stopped smoking on the 3rd day of champix .I weaned off champix on the 5th week.
I have been on holidays, parties and outings where smokers are present. At times I have been tempted. But I continued to remind myself of how far I have gone now without smoking . I really dont need the stinking poisonous smoke fumes in my lungs anymore.
As I have said previously. It really is your mindset. You must make up your mind not to smoke anymore. If you really want to stop smoking all that rubbish....You really can.
Stay strong. Keep up the good work.

I am so pleased for you Athena, You really deserve congratulations, keep up the NOPE (not one puff ever) Mantra or whichever one fits you, and stay close to this forum to either post again or just read. Temptations are just thoughts let them float away, or kick them into the gutter where they belong. Whatever suits you at the time. 9 weeks freedom to fully be yourself without hiding is so good for your moral. Come back soon.

You've got the right attitude Athena. Focus on the benefits that you now experience as a non-smoker. Champix did it:s job while you adjusted how you thought about cigarettes and life without them in the future. Like any new routine, at first it seems strange, but then our normal. When we look at things in a positive light, we are immediately happier. Be proud that you took the steps to free yourself from nicotine and are a Happy Non-Smoker.
