The dream is still alive

Hi all again, thought I drop in to say hello. I am still going strong and my withdraws symptoms are almost gone. The weather has been very miserable, raining most of the time. It's given me the opportunity to walk my dogs more than usual. The dreaming is not as frequent as they were before. I feel much better overall and today when I went shopping. The store manager which I talk to sometimes came up to me and commented on how my face looked nourished and younger. That gave me the kick for today. I stopped 3 things at once, tobacco and alcohol plus something else. I don't even use sugar anymore. I have to admit sometimes I give myself a treat. A piece of cake lol. I hope I can get to the new year without. Let's keep fingers and toes across. That's all folks. Take care now and keep it up.

It is nice when someone else acknowledges the changes. It gives us more encouragement to better ourselves. We start taking better care of ourselves once we quit smoking, perhaps because we gain the belief that we can do what we put our minds to.
While sugar is sort of addictive, and the body does tend to become preferential to it , enjoying the odd treats make them even more enjoyable. Not so with smokes though people. NOPE. Nicotine IS an addiction. Addictions can be broken when we desire to break them.
