Hey everyone,

I am still quit 4 weeks down today, and it is still amazing. I have been taking photographs of my gums (I won’t share them because that is gross), but they have already changed back to this lovely pink colour, and are becoming less bumpy. It sounds crazy, but when I look at them I envisage that this is my whole insides, and they are slowly turning back to a lovely healthy fleshy pink as well, not eroding from poison.

You are all doing so great, we got this, and keep going! Everyday is easier: I must say I have had family visit this week which triggered my addiction, and a few other things, but I have not once moved near the idea of smoking, it comes in waves and then leaves, and the empowerment I feel for wilfully allowing those thoughts to go away is amazing!

We can all be free if we so will it!

Warm wishes to all beginning the journey and smashing the journey!

What wonderful encouragement for those on their journey. It just keeps getting better and we just keep getting stronger. Keep up the great positive outlook which makes things much easier . Embrace being a non-smoker and all the benefits that go with it.

Thank you Bej for your inspiration. I'm only on day 10 and I really needed to hear what you wrote about the empowerment you feel when you don't give in to every thought to smoke.
