schedule 5 Jan 2021

I am happy you are doing so well and it is always nice to hear from members and the good things they have to tell others about quitting smoking. It does change our lives for the better. I am in Canada, just north of Toronto, where we are also in lockdown until January 23. Things haven't changed much for me being retired. Hubby still works and the family is doing ok. I hope we get our freedoms back soon and resume our lives as normal....or not. We , who have quit may find the adjustments easier, as we have adjusted to change when quitting smoking. We know that we will adapt and get through it!

Stay strong and smoke free everyone. We will get through this together!

schedule 5 Jan 2021

Hi New Chapter, and a Happy to you in the New Year too. We hear the UK news quite a bit in relation to Covid19. I am lucky where I am in regional NSW we have had a small outbreak just recently, but I am not affected. It is good to use your body as a tool to help you continue on to better health, mentally and physically. 5 months is a wonderful result to being smoke free, congratulations and come back when you feel like it.

Thankyou for the replies Happiness and Softly, stopping smoking ,apart from seeing my children being born is the best thing that’s happened to me,the sense of freedom, strength, and belief that you can achieve anything is immense, before when I smoked if I got stressed I would run straight for the door and light up,now I’m much calmer in those situations and see the problem as something to deal with in a possitive challenging way and just get on with it,when I smoked I wasn’t as chilled as I am now,and as for Covid well what can I say about that, but to say that we just have to get on with life as best we can, respect the restrictions, and believe in our amazing scientists in the world and hope the vaccine works so we can get back to normal as soon as possible,R.I.P mr nicotine you are beatable and we’re all proving it on this site, believe in yourselves guys and girls, stay strong through the tough weak times, that’s just nicotine on the front foot wanting to crack you,but if you keep your guard up,keep throwing a good jab at it nicotine retreats, and then your confidence will grow and you move in for the big K.O ,remember if you end up on the ropes, think NOPE Not One Puff Ever 👌💪😃
