One Year Quit!!!!

I can’t believe it’s been an year already. I have never felt better! I try to take it one day at a time and each day is a small victory. I encourage anyone who is struggling with staying quit to change up their daily routine. This was a huge help in the beginning and some of those healthy habits have stuck! I still get the occasional thought when drinking but it’a not so much a craving as it is an old habit I used to do. My breathing and exercise endurance has improved so much! I only wish I decided to quit sooner. This site was so inspiring to me when I first started my staying quit journey. I love reading the success stories and I hope you all are doing amazing! Wishing you all the best!
Sincerely, Rosie

Congratulations Rosie85 on one year free from smoking. There was an old saying I read once and it said if you want to change a harmful habit replace it with a good one. I have used this on other habits I wanted to change, and it has worked for me. It seems as if it is working for you too. Your Tumeric and Ginger seems to have helped quite a bit in the early stages of your quit journey. Well done on finding your way through to one year.

Congratulations Rosie85 for completing one year as a non smoker! Wish you all the best for your future smoke-free journey. You are inspiration for us. Thank you for coming here and sharing your stories.

Thank you Rosie85 it's great to hear success stories. I've been quit for about two months and thought I was doing great until I had a bad day yesterday but back off it again today. I hear that after three months it gets a lot easier, was that your experience? Got any tips

Nice to know another is doing so well. I also love hearing all the great stories and successes. Congratulations on becoming an inspiration for those to come. I know you were off of nrt's within 2 weeks and were very optomistic. You also read Allen Carr . That also helps to make the process easier. You did inquire as to my use of ginger and turmeric. Did you ever try it? Don't forget to drop a line now and again. Great to hear from you.

I am 4 months quit. Went cold
Turkey. I feel absolutely crap. Cravings still
Come, more often then they did in the first 2 months.
Feel like a zombie most of the time, not slept properly since quitting. And I sweat, the physical sweating is awful, when I smoked, I never sweated half as much, now i spend of my time in wet clothes. Absolutely awful.
So 4 months in, I’m a sweaty sleepy zombie. That eats too much. And I am very unhappy.
I have had tests to rule out other conditions that may cause the issues mentioned, and they are all clear. The only thing that could cause it is the stopping smoking. If things don’t get better, I’d rather smoke and feel
Normal than feel this bad!

Congratulations on your smoke free year Rosie, you must feel so proud, your post gives nothing but inspiration to us all whom are on our own personal quitting journeys, good luck for your smoke free future.😀
