This is day 21 of me quitting weed and tobacco cold turkey... I had history of 10 years of smoking ~10 cigs and also ~3 joints(for past 7 years)

Yo be honest, I have some of the worst symptoms that I dont know how will get rid off... I had very mild physical symptoms for the first 3 days and from start of week 2, I started having muscle aches and joint pains... waking up to emotionally disturbing dreams, insomnia, a metallic tongue (but no fever or loss of appetite), dry mouth, loss of concentration and slight weight loss...

I will be getting married in a couple of months and I'm scared if these physical symptoms will turn the plates upside down..

Wow, a lot of changes in your life . All good ones. Congratulations on your impending marriage and we know you can quit smoking. Marijuana is not addictive, although you may miss that feeling it provides. Do some equally enjoyable that is good for you. Exercise for example supposedly gets you pumped up and eventually needing that activity . Learning also releases endorphines, and dopamine. The happy hormones. Certain smells relax you, as does music. Stress and anxiety cause all sorts of problems, but there are natural rememdies.

You will never regret your decision to quit smoking. The more you learn about smoking and nicotine, the happier you will be that you are making the break. You can do it.

First off, I want to reply to “Happiness” comment when she said that weed is not addictive, I’m sorry to say that it is very very addictive. You have no idea what your talking about, so please don’t talk about something that you don’t know.

JayB, congrats buddy on your new changes in life... I also quit cigs and weed cold turkey 4 weeks ago and I have Had some issues too. It’s the worst experience of my life. I haven’t had much craving this time but I have had many many physical issues. I have had flu like symptoms come and go through the day. I still have good days and I have bad days. In the first few weeks I was having horrible anxiety, hot and cold sweats, and panic attacks really bad. What I have been doing is, I have a great therapist, I listen to meditation videos on YouTube, listen to motivational videos as well, I’m doing acupuncture and seeing my Chiropractor Every week.

You need to drink tons of water throughout the day and as much fruit and healthy food as you can when you have a appetite, you almost have to force yourself to eat if you can’t.

Quitting cigs is very hard to do on its own and quitting marijuana is also very hard on its own. Doing both of them together is something I can’t explain to someone. When you quit cigarettes it makes you hungry and all you want to do is eat and and you have crazy dreams that don’t make sense, when you quit smoking weed it makes you not want to eat and give you stomach pains, so your mind is telling you to eat from quitting smoking and your body is telling your not hungry. All of your emotions are fighting each other. One minute your happy and the next you can be in full tears for no reason.

Everyone’s experience is different and as hard as it seems, just know that you will eventually feel better. It seems like it’s never gonna go away, but it will. Just remember that what you are feeling is all the chemicals leaving your body, its all the oxygen going back into your blood. It just goes to show how bad cigarettes really are. Just think about how your feeling right now anytime you think you want a cigarette, or to smoke weed and think that it’s sad that your body is craving rat poison and all the other chemicals in cigs. Also remember those cancer sticks “cigs” want to kill you. The Tobacco companies want you to smoke and take your money. It’s not worth it man, stay strong, not only for yourself but for your family. As much as you are hurting right now, in the end your Doing the best thing for your body.

Hope I didn’t ramble on too much, but Cigs and weed can control your life, it’s time to take your life back and out that energy into something positive. You can do it buddy. Good luck my dude.
